People look.....tazz is one of those people that places EVERYTHING on the truck driver and beleives no one in other vehicles has any responsibility for their actions. I guess different people make the world interesting..................I guess.

Roads are built for all to use without discrimination. If there are Amish on your roads, then the people should drive as such. People now a days think a speed limit sign is a speed sign. Just because it says 55 doesn't mean you have to drive it. It's simply the limit. You sound like many truck drivers that get angry if they have to slow down any. Such an inconvienience. There are four wheelers and horses all around our back roads here. You slow down and respect their use. There are many Amish communities from MN, WI, IN, OH and PA. There is even one not far from me in TN. When ever I drive through one my guard goes up because I know I can encounter a buggy at any second.

We both have our opinions. The fact is they are there and they will always be there. You can learn to deal with it and enjoy the site or you can sit there and cuss because you had to slow down. It's called stress management.

Yeah it's funny given their religious beliefs. There are many sexually oriented named towns in Lancaster Co. No TV and only the kitchen is heated. Probably why they have so many kids, lol.

There's Intercourse, Gap, Bird in Hand, Paradise, Blue Ball and Virginville are a few I remember.

I saw a factoid blurb in The Denver Post this morning indicating the driver of the semi had been charged overnight with homicide.

Is there anywhere in your threats or name calling one ounce of agreement that a driver should be in absolute control of his vehicle. I do not have the time or the give a #### to decipher your bilge.

Tell me am I now supposed to engage in the childish behavior of challenging you to a round of physical altercation in resonse to your taunts? So if calling names and blathering needlessly about your strength or your good buddies strength makes you feel my statement is in error tell me how without the romper room attitude.

Tell me when is it acceptable for a driver to be unable to stop his vehicle. I await your oh so savvy response in anticipation of yet more bluster and blow things most flat bedders seem to be well versed at.

How the driver is employed by makes no difference to me. The driver is important not the truck. If you would but pay attention you would know that is my belief. Some of the best and smartest drivers I know wouldn't take a long nose if you gave it to them. Some would kill their first born to get one I wouldn't trust with a red rider wagon and vice versa.

If I have overly offended your delicate sensibilities by impugning your choice of truck perhaps you should take some classes for self esteem. Apparently your a little fragile with your identity. Is it you or the truck that needs to be spotless?

And to the qiuckie. Yes except for someone striking you in your vehicle you are at fault. Could there be an excuse? Possibly I have seen no example yet. But why let fact and logic interfere with the salving of your inadequacies?

Taken from Wikipedia for all concerning the tax issue about the Amish....

Although, like other citizens, Amish pay most taxes, the United States Internal Revenue Service agreed in 1961 that they did not need to pay Social Security related taxes. This was because, under their beliefs and traditions, they do not accept social security benefits and have a religious objection to insurance. In 1965, this was codified into law. At times it has been believed - mistakenly - that Amish pay no taxes at all.[citation needed]

Except if they take a job in the "public" sector. Then their employer must pay as any other employee but yeah the self employed Amish get out of considerable tax burden. Almost enough to make a convert out of people isn't it?

Using the logic of tazz and using the example of coming over the crest of a hill only to find a buggy traveling .5mph and he gets ran over its the drivers fault???? No wonder jurys are so jacked up....now go back to your book and dazzle us with more big words to run us down. It was very amusing.
