My tinfoil hat doesn't come off unless I'm in a room with the walls and ceiling lined with lead. Gotta block the signals from those mind-reading satellites. Of course, in the lead wall room, I'd have to wear a Tyvec suit with PVC gloves and a gas mask, wouldn't want to get lead poisoning.
I read about Schneider providing brand new trucks and trailers to mexican carriers a couple years ago in "The Trucker" newspaper. You know those freebie newspapers they USED to have at Flying J's until they started printing articles about the Pilot/Flying J merger. Now you can only find them at Petro/TAs, and some mom & pop truck stops.

Hey Minivans,
There is a (dem) Defazio from Oregon who introduced a bill last week, I referred to it in an earlier post, Protection of American Roadways Act(PARA). The nuts and bolts are, if we are allow to Mexican trucks to wander about their will be increased accidents, contraband, etc. Interesting point on the new trucks, makes you wander. -
The carrier that received the "dontated" trucks could also be a company owned by Schneider. It is pretty much common knowledge that most of the mega fleets own outright or a portion of a Mexican carrier in order to service their customers across the border. I have a very hard time accepting this cross border program, with a country that has very little grasp on their crime problem. As with anything else, there are carriers and drivers from there that just want to take care of business within the letter of the law but are lumped with the drug runners, human smugglers & murderers. When it is reported that more and more trucks are found with false compartments full of illegal aliens, drugs & money at the border, it makes you wonder why this is even going through. Do our leaders have our best interest in mind or is there something that they are not telling us? I'm sorry, but you are completely naive to think that the Canadian carriers observe the no point to point provision within the US border at all times, but I'm sure US carriers do the same thing up there. Anyone going to be at StupidValu in Mechanicsville on Monday morning? If so give me a shout, I'll be hanging out in the dirt lot at the end of the road by the paving company until I can go in the gate at 2200.

They're trying to integrate the 3 countries into the "North American Union" as a step closer to a one-world government. Crime, drugs, economic instability, illegal immigration, ... they couldn't care any less.

political talk...... not my cup tea, if their trucks are just as slow as the canucks then thats more trucks i get to pass...

Politics is all around you. You can't avoid it in your daily life.
That annoying emissions control crap on your truck that causes no end of trouble? That's only there because of politics. High fuel prices? It's because of politics. The politicians won't allow more offshore drilling. Pissed off that you can't carry a gun in the truck whenever you go to dangerous places like Philly? Politicians made it that way. Upset over e-logs? Blame the politicians & bureacrats who created CSA 2010. Not making enough money? Blame the politicians who destroyed the economy. Not expecting there to be any money left in Social Security when you retire? Blame the politicians who can't keep their hands out of the cookie jar.freightlinerfever11, andrew5184 and bbechtel16 Thank this. -
not my cup of tea but im not oblivious to politics,... i dont like to give my opinion and majority of the time i dont like to hear other cause they are so far fetched and stupid that i can't actually believe they said the ####, i listen to variety of XM stations, various news programs through the day, even my hip-hop stations like to have talks based on whats the government is doing but i just don't like to discuss or give my opinion cause it can get heated in a heartbeat and due to the fact that im still learning my way in life i leave that to the folks thats been in the world long enough to know, and that have learned, and so on to give there opinion...
and why did you stop there, i blame the politicians for saying now since your automatically over 300 pounds and have a huge neck that you have to pay for a sleep test in order to get AT LEAST AN YEAR medical card, I blame the politicians for now been able to just randomly pull me over cause i dont have a seat belt on (if i choose not to have one on then let me pay the price with my life not because your trying to earn 35), I blame politicians (mainly Virginia's Governor) for pulling that idiotic move of closing half of the rest areas down a couple of years ago when it really wasn't going to help with his budget downfall....
again im aware what goes on in this world, i use to get picked on as a middle schooler cause i watched the news at night and read the richmond times dispatch everyday, i just rather not dicuss, religion and politics are off-topics for me, i'll shoot the #### with you about Video Games, Females, Trucks, And Sports all day long, but the other stuff, naw keep that.... -
I'm kind of the same way, I try to keep up on pilitics & current events but tend to keep my ideas and opinions to myself. I dislike it when people try to push their beliefs on me so I try to extend the same courtesy to others. Uggh........what a morning. I surprisingly got unloaded early at SuperValu in Mechanicsville, but the bugaboo is that I had 40 cases of rejected product due to the sell by date was short by 3 days. Now I get to sit around and wait for Tyson to figure out what they want to do with it which will more than likely take most of the morning.

I'm up here in the twin cities delivering at Newport Cold Storage. I was intending only to take a 34ish after I got home Tuesday. I guess I called too late Thursday morning and didn't get anything, then I did get a nice short DH to my pickup Friday. That Versa Cold in Malvern is alright. Didn't take them any longer to load me than it took Hatfield to get my trailer washed out lol. Well I got loaded up and looked at my GPS and the calendar, and drove back home for another night! FYI/BTW: Stockmen's TS is just across the Mississip from Newport, within off duty distance. They have showers, a diner, meager TV lounge, and allegedly WiFi. I was not able to fully establish a connection in the lounge and just tethered.
Anyone selling a car? I need an automatic for the old lady. I'm considering leasing an econobox, or maybe a Genesis Coupe if I get a big safety bonus haha. Also considering something reliable and fuel efficent used; anything from a nice sports sedan to a Celebrity wagon lol. I used to have one and I miss it! Not terribly fuel efficient or reliable at the age they are now, but I love the sound of the old 60* V6's, especially when the muffler rusts through
