best I can say is it comes off in 5 years you points will be off in 2 years if you get the fine for not stopping for a stop sign. But they look at all charges and they will see. Talk to companies they might pay for you to go to school. But I'd rather not be stuck to anyone. I just jumped in a truck and drive my test myself.

Lie to an employer and its ground for you to get fired!!!!!! I have always had to sign a form that says exactly that when you get hired to any company. better to tell them (once you get the fine paid if you lose) then to beg to stay there after. If you just starting school theres no way u can postpone the fine long enough anyways. Get OTT legal there truck fine specialists.
Good luck, and start following the rules. Stop signs are there for a reason!

OP reporting back to you all.. So here's a lil' update. Got my Z endorsement but failed the test. Everything went just beautiful until the last bit, when the DriveTest examiner told me to turn into the DriveTest center's yard. Didn't turn sharp enough and was just barely blocked by the ### end of a parked car. She failed me right away. Dumb mistake that could have been easily avoided. I get another go at her in 11 days, so I'll hope for the best.

I have another question.. Say I can't find work in Ontario, if I move to another province, will my poor abstract follow me there? I'm thinking about SK, AB or MB. I've looked into this and can't seem to come up with anything solid. Does anyone here have personal experience with this?

    Cheers

I wouldnt be so quick to suggest smaller companies they often dont have flexibility with their insurance company when hiring new drivers. I'm assuming you used a decent school with preffered carriers and life time job search assitance, if so they may be your biggest tool in getting hired.

I myself have an "unsafe move" on my abstract as a 22 yearold newbie, but no points, and when i called the MTO to ask what points may have been associated with the charge they couldnt find it, aparently it doesnt exsist lol.

Basically companies will look for a pattern, getting tickets often or regularly is a very bad thing. A ticket here a ticket there thats what they want to see, You have two tickets on your record in the past 3 years, one being the insurance one which may be a huge deal to an insurance company. Now you have two new tickets, so new they are not yet paid meaning they were within the last 4 months minimum, not paying longer than that results in liscense suspension.

To be honest it sounds like your boned, I'm a little curious about your intentions entering this industry with these aparant recent driving habits. But im not gonna judge you one this. however keep in mind, once you are liscensed, have a job, are driving, you get tickets in your personal car and it goes on your CVOR. Truck drivers do not have the luxury of being late and rushing in their car. Tickets are 10x more serious for a trucker when in your personal vehical. How you drive on your days off back and forth to the mall or whatever can and will effect your livelyhood, just something to keep in mind

Best of luck though i hope you find some work
