Im starting on monday 7-11-11. Im worried about the move because i still have more stuff to move sometime and I know how some OTR companies can be about going home. But I figured Id dive right in. Boyd seems like a good place. Hope im right. Ive been driving since summer of 2003 so Ill be starting at 41 cpm and they said $18 tarp pay but the orientation packet they emailed me said $20. either way I think thats fair. This site and the info in this section weighed heavily in my choice to go to Boyd over other places like heartland:biggrin_2552:. Im really nervous since Ive been local for most of my driving career.

Well, with regard to this,(tarping)everyone is different, different techniques, speed, etc. Then there are steel tarps,(4ft drop) (6ft drop) and lumber tarps,(8ft drop)which I hate, and even bigger tarps yet..And,of course, tarping in winter, and, all types of weather for that matter. If you remember, say 6 months from now, would you let me know what you think about $20 for tarping? No right or wrong answer, just curious..:biggrin_2556: Thanx friend..:biggrin_255:

Tarping pay is twenty bucks now. I believe it is fair seeing how 85% of the loads I pull r one tarp loads or flat two tarp. Loads like that I can get dun in a hour. Twenty is better than other companies. Match that with 18 bucks detention n 40 cents a mile n I make pretty good. My theory is this, until u do it don't knock it. Here, its really not that bad.

    M2k Thanks this.
