no I am sure your right.. other frieght compines dont. but I am sure Expeditering companies are much different. thats were I was getting confused. thank you
-
I just all depends I have looked into differant companies like Ceva and they want CDL C and Most all Expediting Companies want CDL C also
-
Class B and C are pretty easy from what I hear, most training locations have a one day class for B and C I think you just read some books on?
From what I hear, however, is the best way to get some paid miles is from OTR trucking, exp has allot of waiting and unpaid deadheading, and I believe they have a few yearly slowdowns. Make sure you read up on it good before committing, I had thought about it myself, but realized I'd get better pay and experience from OTR. -
No Class for a CDL C in Ohio don't know about a B

Seriously are there any good Van or Straight truck jobs that are not 1099 Independent Contractor Expedite jobs?
That's really what I've been trying for but my area in Michigan is really bad for finding jobs. I grabbed this for now and giving it a try, but after say about 6 months could I take a lot of van driving experience and look for something more regular? I'm sure I'd have to relocate. -
Yes there are you just need to look. What company are you driving for right now? Ohio is a great freight location for this kind of work
-
Lol I found that out. I'm getting started with Tri-State Expedite running a van for a fleet owner. I'm here going through orientation and it's plain to see that Toledo/Millsbury/Perrysburg is a transportation hub.
Unfortunately I'm based out of Hillsdale county, MI which is running a very frustrating 16 to 18 percent unemployment(the real figures are probably even worse). I feel like I need to find a way to claw my way out of here somehow this is crazy.
Oddly though as an Expediter my location may be quite good as I'm close to both 80/90 and I-69. I actually happen to live on the Tri-State zone MI, IN, OH border. -
Best Of Luck
I am just not to far from there -
Never heard of CDL C???
What is C for???
