I can't argue against that workinman. In fact, after doing roofing work for over 4 years, I'd almost consider anything a good deal right now. 10-12 hour hot days weeks at a time really distorts your mind. I agree that no one fresh to the workforce is going to know whether or not they have a good deal, and everyone has varying opinions on what's good and bad. All I can do is research as much I can now to avoid making a mistake that someone else may have made. That's why I'm here.

 

In my first year with TMC my blood pressure has dropped into the basement and I've packed on almost thirty pounds of muscle. If you're getting fat then you need to get off boat hauling or dedicated and go back to linehaul for awhile. Or you could just stop eating everything you lay your eyes on lol.

 

^Uh huh,OK,but just be careful about puttin on to MUCH muscle,the chart,is the chart,and they could care less about the muscle to fat ratio..It's all getting way out of hand...Drive On..

 

If you have been in the workforce for 15 years you know if feel good about your career choice. Some truckers out here are just whining grown babies. If u work hard at what you do and perform on a higher level u will not fail in any career field u choose. Some people just don't have pride in what they do.

Yeah, every driver issue meeting somebody brings up the speed issue. The answer is always the same. "we saved a million dollars in fuel and insurance" I'm like dude, quit asking, it's never gonna go back up lol.

The only time I mind is on Fridays

 

Saved a million dollars and gave me plenty of loads to haul that they couldn't get to.

 

FMCSA has TMC at 18 percent. Heres TMC's DOT number 87409

 

This falls under the 'People who didnt understand the industry'

You Will miss almost every single of your childrens birthdays(I have 3)
You Will miss almost every single anniversary
You Will miss almost every single Christmas/Thanksgiving/ETC
You Will See Jody driving your Cadillac(some folks will catch that)
