Need a change of Pace

Hello to all. My name is Kevin and Im looking to get into the trucking industry within the next few months. Trucking is something that I have wanted to do for years but never had the time because my wife was in school/college and now that she has graduated it seems like its time for me to prusue a different career (instead of the lame J-O-B I have now). I am a forklift operator/ logistics specialist and Ive hit the roof on the management chain and after 10 years I need new change of pace. Ive talked to truckers, did research, called some places who offer training and employment and decided that this is something I want to prusue. Any insight on which companies are good to start with and others to stay away from would greatly be appreciated.
