Here recently, drivers have heard from them within about 10-14 days.
But it still takes a couple more weeks to finish it up.
Seems to be faster than before.
They are also dropping the experience level on occasion..........

I think they are down to like one year on the experience, they also know there aren't a whole lot of 1st year drivers that will "qualify"...

It has been one year of experience since at least 2008.
Basic Requirements:
Must be at least 23 years of age.
Must have Class "A" CDL HAZMAT ("H") or combination ("X") endorsement.
Must have one (1) year verifiable over-the-road driving experience within the past three (3) years with a Class "A" CDL, with the type of equipment similar to what the driver will be operating for Landstar.
No more than three (3) moving violations within the past three (3) years, with no more than one (1) excessive speeding (15+) within the last three (3) years.
No at fault DOT recordable accident(s) within the past 12 months.
No felony convictions, no DUI, DWI in the past five (5) years.
No reckless driving, careless driving, and no suspension of drivers license over thirty (30) days in the past three (3) years.
Must be able to speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries and to make entries on reports and records.
No prior "POSITIVE" tests from any drug and/or alcohol testing performed by applicant's previous employers or lease carriers.mama mia Thanks this. -

Landstar has gone through stages of tightening and loosening restrictions on felonies and DWI/DUI's. For the most part they are very rigid about their requirements. -
Faxed mine on Monday I'll post how long it will take, they said if I don't hear form them in a week. To give them a call.
