Well guys I graduate school tomorrow and then Sunday fly up to Wisconsin for orientation for WEL. It's been a long time coming and I am finally on my way. I'm excited and somewhat nervous about leaving and hope all goes well.
I choose WEL after hours and hours of research into what companies are the best to work for, for rookies. I think I've made the right choice. I seem to find more good info on them then bad and that says good things about a company.
I will try to keep people posted as much as possible through my orientation and training period and look forward to answering as many questions as possible.
Thanks to everyone that has gave me insight and also to everyone who wrote very informative threads, without you guys none of this would of been possible.
Leave for WEL sunday night.

Well Im set to fly out tomorrow from Tampa at 4:40pm and then I have a 3 hour layover in Chicago, then It's off to Green Bay to WEL. I'm excited and a little nervous at the same time. Hopefully everything goes as planned in the next few weeks.

I was just going to ask you where you are from but I see Tampa. I have been by their terminal there in Winter Garden by the Walmart DC. They seem to be a pretty decent outfit to work for. Hey keep the thread going and let us all know how you are doing and what you think of the company. I don't think we have many drivers on the forum that work for WEL.
Good luck man!

Yeah, I followed another thread on a guy who jumped from Arnold to WEL over a year ago. He pretty much likes it, not perfect, but no hassles with getting miles and paychecks are right on. He complains about having to switch from day driving to night driving quite a-bit.

Thanks for the good luck, I'll need it...lol. I'm actually from Lakeland though, and WEL has a terminal down the road in Winter Haven. I will for sure keep everyone updated about everything and give some insight into WEL. From what I've heard from other board members I think I've made a decent choice for my 1st company.

Good Luck !!
Just be sure to Read and Understand every piece of paper they make you sign !!
Protect your license!!!
Run compliant, logit as you do it !!
They are a decent outfit, enjoy. -
Yea man I will totally protect my license. I understand thats my livelihood and without it would remain broke. I always drive very cautious and rarely speed even in my own car...so I know I wont in a big truck. Im sure there will be times when I go a little over but Ill even try to avoid that. I think being a pilot has really helped me and prepared me for this.123456 Thanks this.

Sorry man, I had mean't Winter Haven, I don't know why I put Winter Garden. Brain fart I guess! That's perfect if you live in Lakeland cause Publix is down there, Walmart, WEL's terminal, Coke etc... That will probably allow you to get by the house a little more often.
