I am heading to Marshfield Sunday 7/17/2011. Anybody going up from Northern Illinois, or passing through?
I plan to work the 14/7 slip seat once I am done with Evo III.
I have been reading this forum for some time now. It was helpful in my decision to go to Roehl. I would like to thank the drivers who have posted, and helped myself and the other new drivers, and trainees. I have been a paramedic for 20 years now, and have decided to change my career at the age of 40. My recruiter is Alice, she has been great to work with. I have found a lot of these posts are old, maybe out dated, and maybe some day someone in my shoes will read this post when it too is 4 years old. Til then, I will continue to post, and hope to see you drivers on the road.

Good luck. I was supposed to start on the 18th as well but had to put it off for a few weeks. I am scheduled for August 15th. Going to national flatbed. I will be 43 in about another hour. My birthday present is tires for my truck so I can drive to Marshfield. lol.

Got my class a permit today. The lady at the DMV was funny. All of the people ahead of me failed their tests. She was like a school teacher. She seemed so excited to tell me I only got one question wrong. Then she chatted with me while she processed my paperwork. I still can't stand going to the DMV but she made it pleasant enough and seemed genuinely interested in this new endeavor of going OTR. Thanks ma'am!
