Big Rig Overturns Spilling Milk Backing Up Interstate 5

SAN ONOFRE, Calif. -- A big rig overturned on Interstate 5 in North County Monday, spilling milk it was hauling onto a stretch of the freeway, authorities said.

Nobody was hurt in the wreck, which occurred shortly before 5:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes, south of the San Onofre nuclear power plant, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash, which left some fuel on the roadway, prompted authorities to close three lanes to accommodate the cleanup, CHP Officer Alicia Contreras said.
