You aren't the only one who thinks that, but try to tell the companies that. :biggrin_2556:

There must be some pretty bad MVR's out there!!! I was only worried to think that someone would think I was hidding something for not listing it.

Can you guys tell me how the weekly pay works as far as what kind of forms you fill out and send in, what day they are due by, and where and how they are sent in?

    Thanks in advance.

Well, sad day for me. I called Millis for some info and found out I don't live in their hiring area. I had high hopes on working for them, but that's the way my luck goes. I guess I'll try Schneider or Watkins Shepard.

Sorry to hear that. I would try Crete before Schneider. But that is just my opinion.

    BobMack Thanks this.

That's also the consensus elsewhere on TTR.

It depends on if he's a student or experienced as Crete only hires from certain schools.

I hear good things about Schneider and W&S, either one would be a good choice in my opinion.

Thanks guys! Your posts, videos, great attitudes, willingness to share information and the like has really made me put Millis on my short list. It's going to be 3 years until I leave the military, but I plan on putting in my app very soon afterwards.

My father is a trainer for FedEx (trains all the new guys getting into trucking and also folks that have had an accident while employed with FedEx) and has mixed reservations about me wanting to be a trucker. He knows the deal, and I'm sure he's just looking out for my best interests. I can only hope that I can convince him with my new-found enthusiasm and knowledge (what little I have grasped so far about the lifestyle and lingo) that I have thankfully gained from reading your posts gentlemen.

Doubt you guys ever get out on I-70 in Kansas tooooo much, but if y'all happen to find yourself either at exit 298 or the Sapp Bros. at 295 give me a holler. I'd love to talk some and meet you.

I called WS yesterday and asked if I live in their hiring area, I was transferred to a recruiter, I got the answering service. I left a message with the info for where I live and question about their hiring area. Not good, they never returned my call. Their terminal in Conover is a 3.5 hour drive from my house. I'm afraid that may be to far. I see on their website that they have a terminal in High Point. That's about 2 hours from me. But no one speaks of that terminal in the forums, so I'm wondering if that terminal is still in operation.
