Brokering school

FYI David Dwinell does train you in a live brokering office and gives you a marketing plan as part of the training. I did find his class to be invaluable for someone coming into this industry with no industry knowledge and attribute it in part to our success. I'm a big believer in educating myself as much as possible PRIOR to taking on such an endeavor versus small mindedly hoping "I either got it or I don't"...hence, further risking a lot of money not to mention reputation with blind ignorance. It helps when you speak from experience/real knowledge versus an overinflated opinion when trying to help. Again, I got my moneys worth and then some.

 

You are right as 10k bond is useless. But running with the big boys should give you more "feeling" of security. When I said to work with brokers rather than direct- its only for 1 truck operations. I have had a good luck with this idea and speak of it from my own personal experience.

I took a hit from a direct customer so that after math left a bad taste.

Ok heres a story from 2 days ago.

I was called by "N" Transportation out of AL. The kid on the phone asked me where I was with the load. I told him, I'm at a scale and getting a level 1 done on my truck/trailer. He seemed lost as to what a scale is and I had to explain it to him what is the purpose of a scale house.

This is a product of brokerage schools. Clueless out of school kids that are put into this industry as nothing but salesman and thats it!
