He may have been in a hurry or just to lazy to slide his tandems back up after loading as most beer company DCs require them to be all the way back for loading.
Free beer

I remember a few(several?) months back when a trailer hit a large pothole on the Cross Bronx and broke open after dropping to the road. Cop comes up and say to the driver,to move it off the road, driver said it wasn't going anywhere, they had to off load it to move the empty trailer with a flat bed.
This one could have been weakened by hitting a dock wrong months before, and just happened to finally give out with a load of Bud. It's hard to say for sure without being there, and maybe not even then. It could have been visible damage, or maybe not; how often do you see what is wrong with an embargoed bridge? -
I owned a bar a few years back. I wanted to name the place "Free Beer" but they would not let me. Said I would cause accidents! Lol!
25(2)+2 Thanks this. -

I went to this little restaurant across the street from a Honk-y tonk near a big lake close to Opelika Al. It was a bid enough bar that David Allen Coe was playing there.
I was visiting a friend and he took me to this place for a catfish sandwich on the way to his lake house. There was a sign out front that said Free beer bar. Sure enough we went inside and this guy had multiple cases iced down on the salad bar. He even had some cheap looking champagne fountain in the middle of it for decoration. It was cheap ### beer but free is free.
The owner told us he bought 3 pallets for like $25 each. some of the cans were dented. Pretty funny.Last edited: Jul 17, 2011

BINGO!!!
The roof of a van is what keeps in together not the floor. A fork lift can bust thru the floor and not brake a van in half. But take a full heavy load or a heavy concentrated load in the center and the tandems all the way back and its just a matter of time before it gives way. It can only flex so many times before it brakes. -
Right you are, I was called to a fire call in a trailer. We cut the walls with a saws-all and the thing hit the ground with a mighty BANG. So the walls and roof hold the box together with out a doubt

Yes, I remember that as well. A NYC television station made the idiotic claim it was caused by "not clearing the snow" off the trailer.
