The cdl test is a pre trip, backing test, and road test.
Good luck on your permit, those tests are a pain.
Why you doing the DOT Physical? That required for a permit in your state?

I didn't have to get my physical for my permit (KS).

Thanks. I've been studying for a while now, have taken several sample test and have done well on those.
Yes, a DOT physical is required in order to take cdl permit test in Louisiana. My physician charges $70 for a DOT physical and there is a $15 fee to take the permit test. From what I have heard on this site, it is well worth the $$ to get a permit before I arrive. -
Dumb you got to do the physical as you'll have to do one when you get here anyway. -
Is there anything else you can suggest to keep in mind? Other than not lying or acting like a complete idiot. -

Will do ironpony. Thanks for the advice. Do you know of any online pre-trip inspection videos that might be helpful to review?

Hey everyone. I was talking to a recruiter with FFE, but after reading this thread I'm gaining interest in Prime. I have heard good things (as well as bad things) about both companies. Was just wondering your thoughts about how these schools/companies compare? Which would you prefer and why?
Thanks in advance!!
