1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Hi all! Not sure how to go about this as I am new to the site. I went through driving school, got my CDL, worked at a large company for 8 months at next to no miles or pay, thought it a good idea to go with someone who seemed honest (who couldn't afford fuel and their paychecks bounced) and have a total of 10 months OTR solo experience with dry van and reefer (53').

I have no DUI, no moving violations, no accidents and am looking for a smaller company or owner operator who would give me a chance to work for them.

I have an Australian Shepard (search and rescue dog) that I have to have with me. In 10 months in trucks, she has done NO damage.

My problem, I am a female who actually makes a point to look feminine and it's been hard to get taken seriously.

I would love an opportunity and did 6 weeks out at a time and that is way too overwhelming for me. If you have a combination vehicle or a straight truck in the Dallas area and want to give me a chance....I'm a really reliable, cautious and polite driver.

Am I the best at backing up? Probably not because I was made fun of being told that "Barbie" can't back up, give up and go home.

I'm not ready to give up. I have a class A CDL (issued in MO) with tanker endorsements.

    Help?:yes2557:

I made a post looking for a flat bed driver. Not sure if handling chains and straps and having to secure your load would be up your alley.

Be home everyother day to start and then maybe little longer, but no 6 week stuff at all.
