Maybe not, but neither is the automatic assumption of guilt that is displayed here.
Not all of the facts have been released for the public to scrutinize.
Let me say that I do not care whether she is or not.

I find it rather amusing that those in support of Casey Anthony are getting somewhat irate that I (and a huge majority of the nation) believe in her guilt. I assure you, I am losing no sleep over it. I am perfectly capable of keeping and maintaining my opinion that she's guilty of a lot of things she wasn't charged with, even if we take the whole murder charge out of it.
The facts are a lock - she was found not guilty in a court of law. However, just because she got that verdict, doesn't mean that she actually did NOT kill her daughter. Doesn't mean I have to like it. Doesn't mean I have to shut my mouth about it, either. Lots of murderers go free in the same way, just as we see some innocent people locked up for crimes they didn't commit. The reason for that is we have a LEGAL system and for a long time, have not had a JUSTICE system.
Casey Anthony is free because of the LEGAL system. She is not guilty because of our LEGAL system.
Doesn't mean she didn't do it.
And I'm perfectly happy to allow karma to take it's course.
But let's get one thing straight. You don't have to like my stance on it or the stance of the majority of this nation. But it's my/our right to say it and we'll get over it when Caylee is adopted into a loving home somewhere. How's that for a compromise? Because you know, there was a little 2-year old girl that died here. Just reminding you, since you seem to have forgotten that fact. Or is she no longer dead because of a NOT GUILTY verdict? -
If all the facts have not yet been released, then shame on the prosecution. If they withheld facts in this case that could have cleared her then they should be prosecuted. I can't imagine them withholding facts that could have convicted her. -
Better read some State statutes on Necrophilia....it isn't just sex with a corpse....it can and does encompass much more....but you are a licensed funeral Director/Embalmer and have been schooled in this...right?...I didn't think so....well I am and I have been through the training and understand the complexities of Necrophilia. Your definition is the "lay" definition not the legal definition!
You obviously don't know the law or the facts about what you are merely parroting from who....CNN, or MSNBC?
So by your definition or explanation of the definition, when I make a body removal from a residence, crime scene, care facility, or hospital...I am committing corpse abuse.
When the Funeral Home transfers a corpse from the cooler to the prep table....that is abuse.
When the Funeral Director puts makeup on the deceased, fixes the hair, dresses and then places the body into the casket...that is abuse.
When the Coroner does an autopsy...that is abuse?
Have you served in the military in a war/battle zone...or do you know any of our Vets suffering from PTSD? Do they or you all act in the same fashion, do they all react to stresses the same way? No they don't! Many Psychologists have given plausible explanations to her "actions"...there are a few of the firefighters from 9-11 that have done nothing since that day but party, drink, and other "non-social" activities in "dealing" with the traumatic event in their lives....so they are also guilty of some murder (yet unsolved) in the greater NYC area?
What transpires in one case is not guaranteed to happen in one or any other cases. Many of these "missing person's advocacy groups" tend to draw from or draw into the public misinformation of events that have transpired. There are some very high emotions drawn out of these meetings of people that aren't concerning themselves with investigation facts, but by "rumors" spread by these groups and/or by local/national media.
I am not defending Anthony...what I am defending is the Legal system we have in these United States of America....as I said before it is flawed, it isn't perfect....but 98% of the time it works and the guilty is punished for the crime they committed. We do agree that the DA's office should not have taken the path they chose...why they chose this course is beyond me....but they did and they lost.....it's over and done! -
That's the point I've been trying to make all along. Casey Anthony is not guilty of murder ~ she is not innocent of a lot of things. There is a big difference in the two.
In the end, justice will eventually be served, whether one believes in karma, God, the Great Spirits, or whatever.
I'm good with that.
And I'm done with the discussion. -
If there were not enough to convict then they screwed up.
The way the news reports anything these days, believing what they say comes to almost pathetic.
They only tell you what they think is important and if there is something that might clear her, they gloss over or avoid it for the sensationalism that they strive for.
Again, I do not hold it against her. She has be tried and found not guilty of the charges. -
Told you I did not care one way or the other whether she is guilty or not. I do not know all of the facts and do not care to learn.
I respect your position on the matter, you should respect mine as well.
It just amazes me that people are so worked up over this and yet when OJ got away with it, there was not even close to this uproar.
Guess it was because he was a famous football player. -
From court testimony, Casey was a loving mother. Just because Caylee is dead doesn't necessarily mean that she was murdered.
I am not forgetting for a minute that a 2 year old child died. It is tragic when a child dies. Keep in mind that there is absolutely no evidence that she died of anything other than natural causes. Small children do die from natural causes. She could have had heart failure. She could have drowned in the pool. She could have been murdered. There is no evidence of wrong doing in her death. There is overwhelming suspicion. Let it go. She was not proven to have done anything. The legal system worked. The prosecution did not do their job in proving that she did anything wrong. As hard as they worked to pin this on Casey, they could never do it. From what I could tell, they never really gave much thought to anyone else having been involved. I go back to what I have said previously. I don't think that Casey is bright enough to have pulled this off without leaving some evidence of her involvement.otherhalftw and Roadmedic Thank this. -
Casey Anthony discussion aside, you have no idea who I am, what I have done, what I have trained in, and what my credentials are. Until you have an authorized biography in hand, don't think you know what the basis of my beliefs regarding this are or what my knowledge base is.
We agree that the trial was mis-handled. We agree that she was found not guilty. Those are the only real facts of the case. Everything else is conjecture. You believe what you want to believe; I'll believe what I want to believe.
It's that simple...no need to rehash it any more.
If you don't like it, tough. I'm not here to make your life easy. I'm here to speak my mind about topics I find interesting and worthwhile. It's my mind, my words, my freedom...I'm not losing much sleep over the fact that you don't like that.
Again...deal with it and have a great day!

I do.
I agree that people are pretty pizzed about this whole thing, but I think the OJ thing was because there wasn't near the online presence that there is to. People today are more plugged in than ever before.
