WOW lots of stuff, i guess your a pack rat like i was. anyway i tried the printer idea in fact i once had a printer like the one you have, sat it in same spot put a pillow under it to absorb shock and vibration, but the #### thing still went bad after a month. I guess those things just are not made for trucking. ( i had a load strap strapping it down) still went bad on me.
As for the dash you should keep it clean DOT looks for that when you drive threw a scale if they see a cluttered dash, they will think your lazy and not inspecting ur truck then they'll harrass u.
and Get a trash container and learn to develop a habit to put trash in that and take it out at end of day or when u fuel. Youll be surprised how easy it is. I understand most of that might not be trash, in which case maybe you could leave some of that at home. do you really need all that? i can understand if your out for 3 months at a time, but if you go home every 2 weeks or so, u might not need all that stuff.
And if you have a FRIDGE, (if not i recommend Truckfridge.com) they got the best. Put the pickles in that cause the heat from the floor will cause them to get super hot and they go bad quickly.

Truckerjon, I must assume that your years of experience are as a company driver. When a Driver either buys or decides to lease a truck, they can no longer be simply a driver. They must become a businessman and pay attention to the bottem line at all times. This attitude must be primary above being simply a driver, or quite simply you will fail.
There is nothing wrong with being simply a driver, hell, there are a lot less headaches and your downtime is your own to do what you will. A Trucking businessman has far more responsibilities to deal with, such as more paperwork, more cleaning, and more maintaince. To each to his own. No one forces anyone to become a buisnessman, but if you desire to, be ready to step up -
I am working for them now, and I can tell you that I have talked to at least two drivers personally that have paid off their trucks. One is working on paying off his second truck. They are not perfect by any means, but show me a trucking company that is, after all, they have humans that make mistakes working for them. My only issues so far have been with the truck, not the management.l

I can read it fine, obviously the ones that can't have never experienced JCT. Everything you said is very true, I lasted 6 mo. with JCT, my dispatcher was Darryl King (DK). they fired him cause he was really good, he'd run the hell out of you, but he was good.
