No i have not worked for them, nor would i ever work for such a cut rate company as that. I have, on the other hand, loaded next to, in front of, and behind them. Its a wonder they can get a load delivered at all with as much time as it takes them to secure and tarp. Sure, that's the way the expert trainer showed them how to do it, but there comes a time when common sense should take over and perhaps a little common courtesy. Get the basics done, tighten your straps, secure the corners of your tarp and get the hell out of the way. Some of us get paid to deliver loads, not spend half a day tarping. But then i suppose with that many trucks and all those rates to cut so they get the hauling, they have to implement a training program so even the lowest common denominator can drive for them. Even at the expense of someone actually trying to make a living. Does that answer your question bs64507?

Don't point a finger, lend a hand. But I can see already you're the kind of guy that prefers to sit back and watch a man struggle. I'll bet you're one of those jerks on the CB sitting in the truckstop picking on Swifty trying to back into a spot!:biggrin_2559:

I went to TMC out of trucking school. They were an OK company. I worked for them for about 6 months then started hauling hazmat. The only thing I can say against them is that their "home on the weekend" at least for me... ALWAYS... involved Chicago on Friday afternoon and New Jersey on Monday morning. I live in Pittsburgh... so my weekends were about 24 hours long... then I left. But they are not for everyone, and, please... DO NOT STEP ON THE GRASS!

The name on the side makes no difference. We're all drivers out here trying to make a living. What makes your time more important than anyone elses? What ever happened to comraderie? Or respect for your fellow man for that matter. Then again I wouldn't expect a MN yankee to know anything about southern hospitality. The difference is you could berate me for holding you up at the shipper and I'd still offer you a hand if I saw you struggling. You would ridicule me in front of other drivers at the truckstop and I'd still buy you a cup of coffee if you came up short. When another driver was beating the snot out of you cause you're mouth done wrote a check your ### couldn't cash I'd come help you out. You got a lot to learn about how to treat people. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. We all have bad days I know it can't be cold beer and bbq everyday. Hell, I'm just mad I don't have 10,000 lakes to fish.

I noticed TMC is hiring for a Texas Dedicated driver. Does anyone work this? If so, I see they advertise getting you home on weekends and possibly during the week. Looks like driving areas are close to my home (Dallas) so I was wondering how often drivers are actually getting home during the week? 1,2,3,4???? Are you getting home on weekends......everyweek??? Any information would be helpful! Thanks!!!
