One more drug user off the commercial trail. We need all you users to confess now to your employer,I personally like a natural high,if I can't have or get a natural high,I change employers and find a driving job that bettersupports my standards. If you need or use drugs, please change occupations for the rest of us out here trying to put forward our best image to all of you great folks out there on the byways and highways. If I had my way, everybody would be drug free working in USA,and at the very least, you, all of you would be drug tested randomly twice a year and also pre-employment,if you don't pass go to jail until you do,no free rides, you join the litter patrol for users and work for food and housing in that jailhouse. Thats really how I feel, not sorrry for any of you,GET OFF DRUGS AND LIVE CLEAN, for your family and the rest of us,or at the very least,FOR YOURSELF.

All the bs aside, check your dac, and sue if they said he was smoking mj.
You're under no obligation to explain why you were fired, you passed your drug tests. Inconclusive means the lab isn't following proper cleaning procedures.
Try calling the company posing as a recruiter, use someone else's phone-and see what they say-tape record if legal. If they say anything other than eligible or not eligible for rehire, they are most likely libelous. (although in this case you'd know they werent, but they still aren't allowed to say that crap without any evidence)

Haha, I bet every person here who says he should go **** himself drinks alcohol when they're off-duty.

They should just make it a requirement that you can't do ANYTHING AT ALL if you drive a truck, including:

Prescription meds, even over-the-counter, that may possibly, maybe, sorta impair you when you are on-duty

    Alcohol, ever, even off-duty

    etc.

Yes, I know insurance policies do already have time limits after using certain drugs, but normally its only 3-4 days for opiates, and only hours for alcohol (8 I believe, but if you don't look drunk nobody is going to say anything, could have been 3 hours ago).

I mean, this guy was stupid as anything to admit using Mary (I mean c'mon, thats like admitting that you've stolen before on an application, what did he expect?!) but regardless, if someone can drive a few days after using a prescription opium-based med like morphine/oxy, why isn't a dude allowed to drive a few days after toking a Jay?

All the test does is prove that a person has used within 30 days of the test. I think (and I'm no doctor here), but I think it wouldn't be effecting him at all after just one day. But you are allowed to drive while hungover, as long as you don't have an illegal BAC.

Hungover or smoked a joint 5 days ago, which is worse?

PS I don't use anything illegal, I'm just expressing my opinion. Don't take it the wrong way, just adding my viewpoint here.

It's just as dangerous to drive with a hangover as it is drunk IMHO. I don't drink at all anymore and remember vividly trying to drive hungover anywhere. I don't know if it's just around this area or all over, but people for the most part (4 wheelers) around here all think most truckers use drugs etc. That's one image I wish would change. I can't even drive when I have to take certain antibiotics because I feel "foggy" and can't stand not to feel I'm doing my job safely. Does anyone else hear that truckers always use drugs in their area?:biggrin_25513:

I travel to Chicago three times a week and I was just talking to someone that lives there....he talked about taking pills all day long to get through the day of being a local driver in Chicago. Of course lets face it....if you are on the road and sick....your going to take the meds and drive on.

Offering the info shows the effects of the drug right there. Paranoid and thinking maybe someone in the company would be "cool" about it. Will they be "cool" when you slept in and had to skip your pretrip to get there on time?

But on the other side, get a copy of the DAC, stay from drugs, and remind the company you are applying for that you didn't test positive but had a conversation about doing drugs in the past, which is true.
