Sounds to me like you are developing type 2 diabetes. Do you have a strange feeling near your stomach under your heart? Your pancreas is probably enlarged and pushing against your stomach causing acid reflux and the need for pepto. The gas would be because your pancreas is overtasked and not producing the enzymes it is supposed to break down the carbs, so the carbs are fermenting in your intestinal tract producing gas.
Cut down sugar and carbs to a maximum of 100 grams per day and see if you improve in a week. Eat as much protein and fat as you want until you dont feel like eating any more.
No soda pop or sugar drinks.
Sugar/Starch is slow acting poison to you now. -
THis doesnt really sound like diabetes. The main warnings there are a huge constant thirst and having to pee all the time.
This sounds more like a food intolerance, lack of exercise, or possible IBS.
Eat sensibly, and get walking for at least an hour a day. If no better, get checked out for IBS.TheHealthyDriver Thanks this. -
I've lived with stomach issues most of my adult life. Didn't bother me because I usually head bathrooms readily available. I don't think trucking is going to be conducive to that for me.
