Laredo is still the place. Truck is in the shop. The shop is chasing part instead of knowing what the problem is. Replace the hose, the compressor is no good, replace the Dryer and now the pressure switch is no good. The system is still under warrantee so it won't cost him anything, Well it cost him some time and now a hotel room. It is all so stupid....sigh

For stuff like that, mine goes to the dealer. I'll let Swift do a token PM on occasion and get my 90-day checks done at the yard, but most of my PMs are done at Petros and TAs. Cost is about the same. Right now I have a check engine light coming on under a heavy pull up a hill. Hometime coming up beginning of August. It'll go to International then. I'm thinking it's time to get the DPF needs to be baked and blown out. We'll see. Truck still pulls okay and the code clears when the ignition is cut off. Not misfiring or anything like that. Just a rare little cough when under load at lower RPM. That's also why I'm thinking DPF.

You know your day is going to be good, when you get on the dock at 11AM and the guy on the dock next to you tells you he's been there since 5AM.

It's now 1PM, the plate hasn't even dropped and the other guy is still here.

Denton TX. Did the 60 mile run and get 2 plans. First one I can't do due to HOS. Will get to the shipper late a.d the first stop late. Second is back to Cali. I decline the first and accept the second and they pull both off me. I call my terminal and was told that is policy. I have to take the short run to get the good one. I went off and asked what the heck was that 60 mile run then? I ain't gonna get home on time and that's my fault but I sure ain't gonna play local driver when there are runs home. Grrrrr.

North Las Vegas @ Petro. Its 106 degrees out with a strong wind, enough to be rocking my cab right now, kinda feels like you are walking through one of those hot air hand dryers outside. Guess its a good thing I didn't need to idle at all yesterday since I stopped way up in the mountains in CO and it was 55 when I woke up.

When two PPs are offered at the same time, they are offered as a set. Take one, take them both. Yes, it bites. But, the short loads need to be covered and too many drivers would "cherry pick" the good loads. The BS that goes along with it would not get done. I have not run over 550 miles once in the past ten days. Not complaining, though. I'm still making a good check.

Called me this morning and moved me to Colorado City Tx to run shuttle for the rest of the week at least. A driver from here had an unexpected death in the family. Prayers for his family as a daughter in her 30s passed away due to a heart attack.

I don't have a problem with that Injun but when they back a crap load with another crap load and then don't even get me close to home.... Anyway they got me a going home load. After I do a Dollar Tree run, which OS fine as I was thinking about doing that account. In Marietta OK now. 2 unloads tomorrow with bonus pay as I am otr doing them a favor then home.

I've kinda learned with Texas, when they give you the single crap load to ask for the back up before you accept it.

Waynesville, NC. Spent 5 hrs at the shipper. Wanted to get this load to Pueblo Friday afternoon, be predawn Saturday now.

There have been occasions when I've pulled 4-5 shorties in a row before getting a longer run. Do I like it? No. But I'm a company solo, and we are bottom of the barrel when it comes to load offerings.

Currently on a high pressure run to SLC. Be glad when it's delivered. I hate being all rush rush.
