Well,Well, hopefully he can say this:
'No Habla= No Work'. Good riddance. -
Si no habla!!

The guy had a truckload of yarn, I saw a picture of it on a railroad picture website(railpictures.net). There was bundles of yarn and pieces of the trailer all over the front of the locomotive.
-
This is why someone who is driving a vehicle needs to understand English.
-
Bet this guy lost his job.
Probably didn't Understand when they told him
YOUR FIRED!!! -
MY point exactly
reminds me of the truck in Salinas,CA that got hit by a train, was full of lettuce, and then everything was covered: The road, the locomotive, the cars at the scene, one heck of a sight...
LOL! That made my day!

Are there any standards as per a "working knowledge" of the English language as a requirement for obtaining a CDL ?! or do you just have to recite the ABC's or somethin' ?
-
Try this web site:
http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/espanol/english/Part391_index.htm
Part 391 of the FMCSA Manual States:
"Speak and read English well enough to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic and signals, respond to official questions, and be able to make legible entries on reports and records." -
I agree with the "speak English" thing... but isn't clearing train tracks just plain COMMON SENSE, regardless of language????
Sheesh...
