FedEx Freight and FedEx National LTL, two units of Fed Ex Corp (NYSE: FDX) have cut their standard Less-Than-Truckload fuel surcharge by 25% this morning, effective immediately. The drop in surcharge rates comes at an unexpected time, the summer. According to the Department of Energy, the average U.S. retail price for diesel fuel hit its highest point last week since September of 2006.

How will that affect drivers for FDX? Are there o/o's on the fdx fleet?

I see that as a risk to my l/p plan.... but i believe it would be a contract change .... gotta go to the fine print...

i need three feet to stay two steps ahead of the curve

It was only a matter of time
OO get used to higher priced fuel
So the lower FSC doesn't seem to hurt so much.

Sorry baack, but I don't know ANYONE who is getting used to the higher costs at the pump. Fedex Natn LTL (formerly Watkins) does actually have O/O's pulling their wiggle wagons, will be interesting to find out how it affects them.
