I know it is kind of a techy question, but I wanted to get to the most people.

I am eligible for a new phone. I want to stay with a droid for ease of phone book transfer, prepaid apps etc...

I would also like to get back to a physical keyboard. Do you have any model recommendations?

I have the original eris. It was the lower tech model of the first offered. I am looking forward to something with a much faster pricessor!

My wife works for VZW. I've had every model droid so far. Right now I have the Revolution. 4GLTE. It's so much faster than say the Eros, or the Thunderbolt. But battery life leaves a lot to be desired. The larger screen is nice and I can get streaming video from Netflix or watch TV on Hulu. Any more questions let me know. She's the expert but I can certainly pass on any questions I can't answer.

In what way is the Revolution faster than the Thunderbolt? Here is a pretty good article on the Revolution and how it stacks up against the TB and Charge.

One thing of note, if you get a 4G phone, the battery will suck. It's a given. Expect it.

If you want a phone with a faster processor and possibly better battery life, because it isn't a 4G phone, look at the Droid 3 which just came out.

I only want the fastest, newest toy out there, for close to nothing, of course... haha

The eris always had terrible bat life. Less than a day with mild usage. Tried two dif bats, checking all things like apps running, uptime etc... so charging daily wont be new to me.

The eris also has terrible mp3 sound, speaker or earphones, compared to original droid or even my old palm 710.

If I were up for an upgrade I would go with 4g phone. Yes it uses the battery more, but you can set it to not look for 4g until you know you are in an area of 4g.

Wait for the Bionic if you can. That will be the latest.

I have the thunderbolt and love it. If you root, it can be easily overclocked. But as its been said, battery life stinks.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is suppose to hit Verizon first. Have read Sprint, AT&T will have it also. Search the web for it, sounds like it may be worth the wait. At the very worst, other current phones may get a little cheaper.

These aren't the droids you're looking for.
