I worked for Delta Transport aka John Perez truckng in Walnut Grove ,Ca this last Ag season'' I also worked for them in the past''
In the past it was a ok place to work'' but since the economy got bad here in the Sacramento,CA area, They have terned into real jerks''
They think that since the economy is bad that they can treat the drivers with no respect''
I worked about 80 hours a week last season, the few times I asked to get off early.I was told no''''' The dispatcher Val Rattola is a complete Jerk''''
He sends you to places with no addresses, gives bad directions is rude if you ask him to repeat the directions'' and is overall a total jerk'''
They pay better then tiger lines but it is not worth it ''I dont recommed this company''' You make about 9 dollars per hour when you figuire in all the wait time etc'' It is a dead end job''' When the economy gets better they will have burned there bridges and wont be able to get good drivers
This company sucks'''Extremely bad dispatcher'''![]()

I worked for them a long time ago then worked for them a couple years ago. It was all good 20 years ago, they paid $35 a load to go from walnut grove to stockton, well they pay the same $35 to go from walnut grove to stockton 20 years later!!!!! These were loads from the Chan Farms!
That dispatcher val is a idiot, I herd from other drivers he used to be a driver until he married the owners daughter and that made him dispatcher, well he can not dispatch if his life depended on it and john needs to put someone else in that spot unless he just doesn't care about his trucking company anymore! -
I worked for them in 1989....seems like Val hasnt changed much....

if its so bad dont work there from what I have seen the drivers are a bunch of idiots that shouldnt be driving anyways espeacialy when hauling pears and after a couple of days they still dont know the process

Well lets see a forklift driver try to drive the truck!
Can you even get a class C drivers license or do you have to many dui's?
Truck drivers are a different breed, We get a DUI and its over for us for 10+ years! Must be nice to be a forklift driver and get multiple DUI'S and no drivers license and drive to work with no license and no insurance!
Well If I wanted to make $4.25 an hour I guess I would be a forklift driver at perez too. I bet you live in ONE OF THE CABINS in locke too with 10 other dudes!Freebird135 and kid_cardiac Thank this. -
You guys should check your immigrant; heck the indian drivers, just have what looks like a passport book, but infact, its their license book; all hand written what they can drive

One of our forkies should me it, and he just wrote down, manual(M); Multi-Combination (MC); and Fork-lift 45tonn
It was funny to read it... >_<" -
thats funny I am actually a certified forklift driver for 8 years and probally make more money than you make driving truck all day and night when i work my 8 hrs and go home to my family your still out in a feild somewhere waiting to get loaded with whatever your hauling and if I wanted to be a truck driver I could have a long time ago but why would I want to be driving all day and make less money ya it is nice being a forklift driver making 16 dollars an hour, and I actually do have a licence, three cars with full coverage
-
I hate to break the news to you, but your $ 33,280 a year is less than most rookie driver's make. A driver with a clean record and 5 years experience can make 55,000+ I am wondering though, why would you have full coverage on a 1992 Chevy Astro van.
-
Lol. This makes for good reading but let's be nice boys.

You should have full coverage on a freaking bicycle!
Can you afford the costs that are incurred if you are at fault and you have cheap comprehensive or no fault! I keep full coverage on everything I own even my paid off P/U, a motorcycle and cars!AND my house!
It's like gambling! You pay to play and if you can't pay you darn sure will pay like the kid that hit my wife in April! He's getting sued for the taxes and tag for the new car we had to buy to replace the older one he hit and totaled! If he had been covered or paid for the chance he would screw the pooch he'd be having a better summer than he's about to have!
If it drives on a public road having good insurance over the cut rate or cheap crap because you can't afford it, then in todays sue the crapola out of anyone alive or whose name still might have a dollar, then I'd have the protection! If you can't afford the deductable but pay for having a large one then rething your monthly income chart!
