Thats true, I know he's in a t660 and some of he's videos are from the last couple months, so i don't know if he's still with you or not.
I didn't know if any of you guys on here knew him or not. Anyway be safe out there. -
Mile marker,
I agree with Hawk, interesting for those who don't.
Hey guys, how are your AC's working? -
yeah he's a rookie, he's only been driving less than a few months.... he's posted on this forum once and never came back, i met him when he first got his truck in sheldon...
@Matt... works like crap, the AC in the bunk doesn't even work right after being taking to the world renown eddie's so its crap.... im about to call our great safety director and ask for another truck, with the smoking crap, air horn doesn't blow, steering is screwed and the ac, its just too #### much!!!! -
Ahh I think I know that guy now. I almost blew my Qualcomm bonus one week keeping the hammer to the floor to catch up with him after he blew the horn at me when I was getting back to my truck in an Iowa rest area. Nice guy.

Hawk,
Sorry to hear about the AC, as you well know, now is the time for it to work, kinda of remids me of a defunct bunk heater I had in the other truck that didn't work, screw the bonus, I'm not freezing. The world renown Eddies, LOL, that's funny, when those guys wash your truck they spray half the paint off, I'm starting to look like a Werners truck! I'd call for sure, good luck.
Be safe and stay COOL -
Lots of times when I've been trying not to idle and I've happened to have an empty trailer, I've been tempted to set the reefer on 65 continuous and grab my sleeping bag and pillow and maybe even the truck's mattress and sleep in the trailer with ear plugs, and figure out a way to tie the door shut from the inside.
But I was always afraid somebody would be walking by and see my trailer door not latched all the way and think he's doing me a favor by latching it. -
i worked with a guy with schneider when i pulled out of wally world who did that when we use to go to baltimore to pick up a backhaul... i thought he was ###### crazy..... no way im sleeping in a trailer, unless it was hard times

Well, I saw 656 back on the road yesterday...on US 20 in Northern, IA. I waved. I don't think he saw me. I thought they were going to out-service it for sure. Must have had a couple of new hires they didn't have trucks for. I got a good deal out of it, for sure.
As far as idle percentage...yeah...about that. I'm 10% over the July limit right now, and I'm thinking I'm not going to be able to drag it down too much if the heat keeps up. I keep getting on the early shift (driving from 1-3am through noon or 3pm). That doesn't help. Oh well, it's just straight up dangerously hot out here. Dem's da breaks.
My over speed on the other hand. Heh. I managed to make it 188 miles from dock to dock a couple of days ago in 2h 51m. When I hit the on-duty line for VI and loading, I had 2 minutes left on my 14. Didn't break any laws either. Thank God for a 70mph speed limit and an empty trailer. Now I just need another week to coax the overspeed down below the line.
Is somebody here in 732? The number rings a bell and I can't remember why. Saw that one this morning. (I think. I'm tired and the last couple of days are running together.) -
I'm not sure if the overspeed percent is based on total run time like the idle, or if it's based on just the time the truck spends in motion. Theoretically, if the former was the case, you could lower your overspeed by idling, ... if you've got wiggle room with the idle.
