It is good to see another smart woman combining the OTR and HTML. It just makes sense to me to take the printing skills and make them mobile with Dreamweaver and Flash. I too have the older language under my belt. (Macromedia) It's all Adobe now. But I am certainly ok with that. InDesign beats Quark in every way! But it is good to know both. Ron and I hope all goes well with your move. (moving is truly a big deal)
My husband and I are well into our CDL training. It is an intensive 8 weeks worth of hands-on skills. We welcome all advice. Monday, we hit the roads for our 1000 miles. Can't wait.![]()

Best of Luck....... just try not to kill each other. If it was my wife and I cooped up like that I'd have to hide everything sharp or heavy!
transportHER Thanks this. -
Well, only 2 weeks left. Endorsements... HAZMAT, Doubles & Triples and Tankers accomplished.
Now to make the decision on WHO to go with. Decisions. Decisions!!
-
good luck who are your choices? any pre hires?
-
I never learned Quark. I got the Adobe stuff dumped in my lap, so that's the way I went!
Move went fairly well, just took more trips than we figured. Stuff seems to multiply.
Glad the training is going well for you both. My hubby and I could probably handle being on the road together, but I can't handle riding in a rig anymore, let alone driving one. -
We have narrowed down to U.S. Xpress and Werner. We were impressed with Stevens Transport, but we are not too keen on going strictly refrigerated. And now that we have all our endorsements, might as well use them
!
Any suggestions or points for us to consider? We are planning to run Team. -

SO glad the move went well. (Moving is such a chore) although it gives you a chance to weed out the unnecessary items!
Oh and you can't go wrong with Adobe. I'm already behind in versions. But that will have to change soon. My prehistoric Titanium PowerBook G4 is still going strong, but only holds a 3 hour charge. It is time to venture out and look at those new lightweight mac books. Just can't bring myself to get a pc notebook.
Anyhow, I see you're out of the truck now for over 10 years...did you just grow tired of the OTR life? For me, I am so ready to hit the road. We are doing our final night miles for training, then we are ready to take that final test. -
congrats on all you endorsments.
I start school monday the 22nd then off to conway they require doubles and hazmat -
Wish you well! Conway came out to recruit (very nice recruiter). Of course, we run team and they were strictly solo. But I hear good things about them. Only one LLC branch runs teams and they are strictly refrigerated. We wanted more options.
