Like others have said, could be an array of reasons, but I'd call and ask why. Anytime they're taking a load off of me, I'm wondering why and get an answer ASAP. I don't care how full my dispatcher's plate may be, my miles aren't going to suffer to t-call a load. You have to be on your dispatcher's ### sometimes or they'll leave you out in the cold, even the good ones.

It could be something simple, like the consignee re-scheduling the delivery to a couple days later.
So, the planners t-call you so you don't have to sit on it.
I wouldn't worry about it. Just go with it and take your next load. -
Well................???
If they didn't can-ya, (and I hope they didn't)
fill us in Driver !!!! -
Just as I got into Dallas I got a message to take the load on down to Laredo. So, I didn't lose my miles afterall. But, I have been sitting for almost 24 hours now. I don't mind because my hours were getting tight and I was ready for a break. I'm sure something will come along soon. If not, I'll get layover pay.

PAM runs dedicated shuttle trucks powered by natural gas out of the Irving yard. They will often have runs t-called at the Irving yard so the natural gas trucks can take them the rest of the way. That is the explanation I got on my last Laredo run.

most of the time the reason we t-call loads in irving is to use local shuttle driver to move the freight back and forth to laredo. They need money just like everyone else does.
