...when I worked there I did have emergency numbers to the safety department, for the shop, and my dispatcher. They went home after working for the day. They didn't live there.

Most places I've worked want the logs to match qualcom. I didn't have to pay anything to hook up the inverter, I simply told the shop how I was going to do it (the right way) and no problems there. ...and some loads...true I wouldn't fuel (top off) before I loaded. I would, however, make sure I had at least a half tank so I could max my weight and have room to work. It's not hard to make sure you have plenty of fuel even before you deliver, just stop and get some. As far as sitting all night empty because of unloading after hours....if I knew I'd be empty after dispatch went home for the night, I'd call him and let him know I was running on time and had already talked with my destination to see how unloading plans were going. Normally...then, I'd have a load waiting that either loaded that night or the first thing in the morning. If I had to wait...so be it. That was just an excuse to get a good nights sleep or do some laundry. It takes a bit of pre-planning with any driving job. No one is going to babysit a grown man. Shouldn't need to.

I did a yr at dtc. I only quit because a regional position came open more money/hometime. at dtc I ran nothing but west coast. 3400-4200 miles week. avg length haul 1600mi. got home whenever I asked and took as much time as needed. never sat long for freight and trucks r #### nice. great place to work if you actually keep the door closed and foot in the pedal. easy 55k yr +

WOW things have changed guys!! lol...they need night dispatch...They also need pre planned loads..newbies may enjoy working for this company, as theres always the drivers that dont mind sitting over the weekend waiting for dispatch to come into work...there nice people yes, but over all if your a driver thats used to pulling heavy miles forget it!! ..hubby tried staying with them as long as he could, but the economy the way it is , theres no way, gotta go to a company that can keep him rolling..he has been there 2 & 1/2 years, sitting 3 & 1/2 days in a week is crazy & they tell you dont call until 8:30am when we get in the office?? trying to pay a mortgage & take care of a family? its not happening here..:biggrin_25513:

HMMM DTC. What a joke. Worked there as a team and solo. The people in the office think they are god. Or atleast thats what i saw. They charge you a deposit for everything. The saftey record is horrible. I love driving trucks and will continue to do it just not there. My experience with them was less than a year ago. They are hard to get hold of even if you use the q com. dont think they are smart enough to understand emergency. But anyway good luck to ya. hope you dont have to learn the hard way.:biggrin_25513:

they suck they steal your hard earned pay and tell you lots of lies to hide their embezelments they do not put manifest numbers to explin some of the things they do so you cant track where they steal fromm and they charge for repairs to their equipment. and to put it mildly what last check they stold that pay checks ranged from 100.00- 400.00 with only 1 700.00 check only brought home 5000.00 in 31/2 mnths when used to getting 3000.00 a mnth we have just about hit bankrupcy thanks to them DO NOT WORK THERE

K never had a bit of trouble with my truck. My apu broke down 1time in southern cal and i was reimbursed the following week for my motel. Cheat you on miles? What place does not cheat you on miles, sure if a trip pays 1700 your gonna drive 1725. I guess some people it works out others have trouble. I think they are good and i never had any trouble. My job lost its contract and im going back.

B.S. you must work in thier office. Maybe in recruiting. I drove as a team there and solo. The last straw was a 7 day run from rochester ny to portland or. Dynamic said get there early and they woyuld take it. Got there in 3 days and couldnt unload early. They LIED. They suck. Women in the office get extra money from the drivers in the lot. They have those 386 petes and volvos and they cant afford to order new trucks. Thery cant even keep the ones they have up. Proof is in CSA.
