Doesn't make any difference who's in the white house. Republican, democrat = same big banker bailouts endless imperial unconstitutional wars. It's a corrupt establishment they all answer to Ben Bernanke. If you have the capital just do it. If not dont. Plain old common sense.

Bernanke's large and in charge. Until he has to face Dr Ron Paul. Then Bernanke looks like he needs his Mommy.

Sounds so chicken little. Rates have been soft for a couple weeks. But rates and volume up in almost all areas most of the year. Who cares about fuel. Build it into the rate. Bigger issue is equipment prices. This is a good news/bad news thing. Tougher to find quality used equipment in $20's these days. Still can be done but have to be ready to jump when something looks good.

Good news is with big carriers having to pay a lot more for new equipment, contract rates have been rising for past several years. And this drives spot market rates. And we have seen several +20% months on spot over contract. That is a great sign.

Lack of access to capital has less to do with political climate and more to do with readjusting risk standards. In '06 it was thought that if you owned a home that the risk of defaulting on anything else was very low because you always had equity in your home.

But we saw how that worked out. Now we have what history would say is a more normal credit standard. Money is still cheap and available. Just have to have a solid, proven business.

And history has shown that there is no corrilation to market performance and the political party that is in control. Just the average person listening to the news is scared. A business person looks at real data to invest in capital.

And the real data for the transportation industry says this is the time to grow. That is what I am doing. Buying second truck next week and deposit on two more that should arrive end of August. Starting brokering business in next 30-days with two good clients on board and have capital in place to offer both quick pay and pay invoices within 21-days ahead of client check if needed.

Thinking about buying a cab and becoming a cabbie. Per mile rate is a lot better, tires are cheaper and no computer paid miles. Know if I can find a place to order me a turbin so I can fit in.

'12 is going to be a make or break year for a lot companies and owners. If Obama comes back look for 4 very tough years. Republicans had better get off their ##### and come up with a good candidate because voters are just stupid enough to re-elect him if decent opposition isn't presented. Not sure that Republicans are a whole lot better but with the debt cap talks going the way they are right now it does give me a little hope.

All that being said, I'm using the money I'm making to finish up my MBA in the meantime, going to have to have a backup plan if the ##### hits the fan here either in '12 or then in '14 (CARB ridiculousness). Just be glad you're not in CA. But if stuff turns around......

Republicans will come up with another establishment candidate who will talk a good " conservative" game and continue the same Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, etc, etc policies of big government, globalists that benefit the robber baron elite banker class. There is no difference between the two parties, only the lies they tell differ. Wake up. Get yourself out of debt slavery and then you can prosper regardless which gangster group d or r is in power.
