Their idle policy is extremely liberal at the moment. They don't use APU's, and they run exclusively in South America where extradition is based on how much money you can flash to the local police.

I know...kinda mean, but you know what they say about what happens when you ask a silly question and the sort of answer it deserves.

Absolutely! You don't even need a CDL or any training whatsoever to get in an Arrow truck.

now its true arroe went belley up just before christmas and they did put the screws to a lot of drivers BUT what some of you don't know os that this was not the first time they have pulled this stunt.

years ago in elpaso tx they did the same thing shut down without notice leaving drivers and owner operators stranded most of the owner operators had ther trucks parked at the terminal when the news broke the owner operators found there trucks behind a locked gate and they couldn't even get there trucks period it was a mess, drivers and operators stranded at the truck stop with not a nickel in there pockets.

if it were me i would avoid any company with that name period , just not a wise thing to d and that mess aint over yet, southernpride:biggrin_25514:

I saw an arrow truck today coming home from my Sygma driving job. I did get 800+ of my 1200$ last paycheck, so pretty happt there, did take a year. Took 1 1/2 years off hiking across america and 3 months in asia, so it was not all bad. Daimler-chrysler did reimburse me money for gas to drive truck home as most equipment will not fit onto a bus. Some were said to sell tarps for cash, even had drivers wanting to buy my Arrow equipment on the cb when i drove home, but said no as i am new to driving-8 months. I guess the writing was on the wall for those who have seen it before, but greenhorns would see it but think they might pull thru. i did get extra equipment that was not issued to me(scrounged for as for example 12 straps issued was not enough). wish i could drive by the old yards an see them today.
