I don't know how other companies handle schedules but as far as Martin goes, I get my two loads assigned to me the afternoon before. From that point on, it's completely - and I do mean completely - up to me as to when I pick up the loads and in what order. If I want to get up at 4 and run, then I do it (assuming I've completed my 8 hour break by then) or if I'd rather run at night then I can do that too.
Great jobs in Texas

hello driver , i wonder how you get tanker experience, when no one can give you the oportunity

Most water hauling companies will give you a shot. When it gets real busy some of them will help you get you cdl. That's how I got mine. It all depends on how busy things are.

Specifically, he is involved in short-haul operations, is a 100 air-mile radius driver that does not exceed 10 hours maximum driving time following 8 consecutive hours off duty.
