    Update.

I know some of my followers are probably gone since I haven't updated in so long. But its been along experience going solo, so I'll just get to the point. Its pretty great being on the truck solo. Nobody to tell me nothing, I'm learning from my own mistakes, and I get to blast my music as loud as I want. The first truck Swift gave me broke down on my first trip in barstow. Now I'm driving a brand new KW T660 this baby only had 12miles on it when l picked her up from phoenix. (a virgin, and l was her first). Now she has 11,950, so y'all can tell l been rolling hard.

Let me inform any news comers. I'm averaging about three hundred a week, it would be four but I'm aways taking out advances every week.lol... My DM keeps me shifting on the road, I have yet had a day to where I'm siting around waiting for a load. I get trips sent to before l even finish thee one I'm on. Thier great with getting me home time so far. Lately I only asked for two home time request, and the exact days i wanted off, I was off an got to keep my virgin. I work three weeks straight, then take four days off. Only had one bad check situation to where I did a Hazmat load and was paid the same aaregular. Once payroll got my phone call and information the change was made properly to my satisfaction. Swift is a good company, my only downside with them is the pay. 25¢ per mile isn't god at all. I sit at truck stops with other drivers that are doing the same as I but pockets are fatter. Same highways, same shippers, same maneuvers, but different pay. However, like the saying, we gotta start somewhere.

Last week I let my girlfriend ride along with me. Lets just say that'll be the first and last time I'll do that. If we argue in a two bedroom apt, why did I think it'll be different living in a moving closet together. I was so so ready to have her with her thumb up on I-70 hitching a ride back home.

Well thanks for still reading my experience and l look forward to reading yout replies.
FYI. Don't use t-mobile their coverage sucks.

    Yes, we do.

But the pay goes up as you move along.
Pay raises are automatic, based on your time with Swift.

I have a little over 7 months solo with Swift, and I have seen my pay increases. I am now at .29.

So far I have had zero problems here at Swift. Being a new driver, I had expected far worse.

As for living in the truck with your GF, well, it can only be expected to be harder - especially if you don't get along in the first place.

Does swift have issues with hiring overweight (fat) drivers? I've heard about a few other companies...
