I'm just glad I called right after i delivered my old truck... I was 10 miles from the Wyoming border on US20 and it would have been a hell of a wild goose chase to Covington, TN.....

 

so did you get another 1 from them?

 

Nope... I stopped into talk to a salesman I know at Peterbilt in Green Bay.

It was mid-January... colder than a well diggers ###... I knew he was starving for sales... I bought my '95 for $10k off their asking price, wrote a personal check and drove it home that night.

I did notice that almost all of his trucks are very high mileage.

 

Higher mileage maybe.... I guess we can disagree on what is high mileage. For me it's probably 2,000,000 but I have never bought a class 8 truck with less than 800K on the clock.

But it's not like buying a car... if you buy one that can be repaired at a reasonable cost, and the owner can fix a lot of the small stuff, mileage is just a number.

 

I tried working a deal on a 359 pete he had but he tried to tell me my 10yo ultraclassic harley with a brand new harley motor was only worth $3k.I don't usually do business with people who insult me

 

MedicineMan, how's that truck you got from Lone Mountain Truck Leasing?? Is it holding up? I'm looking to get one from them, not too crazy on the inventory.

Have to say one post saying someone lied to you without any details will not do much to tarnish someone's reputation. You at least need to explain the circumstances instead of simply they lied to me...
