Fraps definitely made the video better.
However, you know you can turn the FPS logo at the top off in the paid version right? Also, Internet Explorer man?! I expected you to be using FireFox like a pro! Ugh, I made the switch from IE years ago and I've never looked back. Personal preference of course. However, the video was bland on explaining it for newer people. Maybe instead of Clicking each one, and showing a few thread, click it, then have a image rotate in of a random thread from that section. Maybe through in a few reply's in "QUOTE'S" to give alittle example of how the responses are. (I did skim through the video, maybe you did but I didn't see it)
Just a though of course. I've made several videos back in the day using Fraps and various video editing software. Mostly Counter Strike 1.6 scrims, etc, etc so I'm not unfamiliar with the software. (Maybe the brand new one if the GUI was updated).

What logo? lol you mean the counter thing? I put it up there so id know when i turned it on/off.
I dont want to do a walkthrough, people can figure out how to post on there own. I just wanted to get the word out about the forum. There are 200+ YouTube Truckers, 10,000's of fans of YouTube truckers and only a handfull are on here
And now that YTTrucking.com and TTR.com are now working together, it would be good for both sites, us YouTube truckers as well as the forum members here to get more memebers.
Oh and that is the paid version, $37 seems a little steep but its pretty cool though lol
I like easy stuff so i stick to IE, i do have FireFox as a backup lol

Very hard to explain without a demo.
So I made one real fast. It's just screen shots and not video since my fraps it on my laptop. So bare with it.

(Ignore the garbage quality, I did it on movie maker)
Anyways, as you see I started on the main page, I then highlighted the link to show what I was clicking. It then transitioned to the section thread viewing. I then click a random one in there with it highlighted. Transitioned to show the post. This is a basic idea from what I was thinking. However, it's not how I would like it to be, but since I didn't have the software on this computer that video is what it is.
This is how I can see yours.
Starting off in main forum, clicking on a sub-forum, then highlight and have a little picture overlay the screen showing that post and maybe put a few quotes of some of the decent replies to the thread. This will give people a idea on how people reply back with helpful information, thus giving them a great picture of how the forum works.American-Trucker Thanks this. -
That sounds cool, Your gonna have to show me how to do all that though lol. When I run into you on the road or something, perhaps you can explain better how that program works, seemed to me like all it can do is record everything, i didnt see anything for highlighting.

I don't believe fraps has a highlight function. But any good video editor can get it done easy without problems. What editing software do you use? If you don't mind me asking of course.

Look into Sony Vegas 10. The $125ish one will do what you want. You don't need Pro, and who has $700 for that?
American-Trucker Thanks this. -
This was actually what I was going to recommend.
However, I believe Sony Vegas does a trial still. Give it a try and see how you will like it before you drop the dime. And pro is not worth it at all.American-Trucker Thanks this. -
Gamers of the trucking world unite? I don't have Vega, but I will have before too long, I hope. I need it to edit videos for college scouts for my gymnast daughter. That I can use it to make gaming videos is a bonus.
