What would some of you guys charge or accept for a 30K dry van load with two pickups in Brownwood, Tx going to Travelers Rest, SC?

Broker is offering $1400 and that is NO DEAL!!! :biggrin_2554:

That is what I was looking at. My father was willing to settle for $1850 and I wasn't. He gets nervous when loads are scarce.

Nope, anything cold would be melted and or dehydrated before the van got out of Texas. :biggrin_25521:

    Thank you though!

Being from TX all I will say is rates to SC and GA from brokers are pretty low. I was a sales person for a large carrier for a few years and I'd say the going rate was around .90 to a dollar plus fuel surcharge and accessorial charges. Unless there is some thing special about the load I wouldn't think a van load out of Brownwood is gonna pay much more than .95 plus fuel surcharge less the brokers cut.
