I wouldn't mind learning how to flatbed. I don't think I am strong enough to get the straps tight but would like to learn or at least try.

Yup, it's all in the leverage:yes2557: Being on the "small" side will be to your advantage if you have to get up on a load. I guess I'm a little on the scrawny side 5'7" 159lbs,but I never had any problems tarping or straping related to my size.:biggrin_25525:

I'm not the biggest guy around either...6' and 175 lbs (gained a few the last few months)

Back when I first started driving...the lumber tarps weighed about 30 more pounds than I did.

Are there any flatbed companies that will train me after I'm done with my schooling? I only know of tmc and maverick, but they require you to be 23, I'm currently 21.

We had some skinny little runt that was 70 years old and had pulled boards for over 40 years. He would be loaded, secured and tarped before you could toss two securement chains...:biggrin_2556:

OK, today is the day. Make sure you all mark it on your calendar :biggrin_25525:. After I get unload I head home, grab my skateboard and grab my first load. Central IL to Yuma AZ with reload of Humvees back.
