    Hey all,

    Just wondering if anyone has had dealings with Morrice Transportation? How are they to work for and such? They seem decent on paper:

    $.39 cpm
    $ 10.00 every border crossing
    $ 20.00 every live load and unload
    $ 10.00 per drop and hook
    $ 16.00 per hour of detention after 2 hours
    $ 16.00 per hour for local work
    $ 50.00 layover fee after 24 hours
    1% bonus for every mile when 11,000 miles or more per 2 pay periods
    $.005 per mile safe driving bonus, paid quarterly

    Singles average 2800 miles per week

    Benefits after 90 days include:
    Extended health and dental care, Life and Disability insurance
    Company pays 75% to the cost of benefits

    Any insight to this company and package would be greatly appreciated

    They're ONLY good on paper. The donkey running the show now knows it all and pushes his agenda regardless of what common sense would dictate. The idea of actually listening to drivers when there is a load issue is a foreign concept. An example would be forcing a driver to get a trailer loaded with another shippers product even though the trailer is already full and them being fully aware of this; being forced to drive an overweight load through Ontario where they are permitted to do so, that is bound for the states, and having it ultimately be sent back to the shipper because it was overweight. Company drivers picking up crap in Toronto or elsewhere, dropping it in Windsor for the OTR guys to haul, trailers commonly dropped with flat tires, load not secured, etc etc. Dispatch does nothing. Management does even less. And then there are the dispatchers that make their problem your problem ie: an overweight load that needs to go, or a load that isn't safely loaded, or a trailer with flat tires, and for some reason the driver is the bad guy because they don't pull it. Avoid this company unless you like dealing with crap like that.
