My Experiance with Watkins Shepard!

O'Dark 30 this morning i go back to pick up my trailer, since the phone thing says its been done for a whole 15 minutes.....only 16 hours LATE!

I get there they say "its not ready"
I say "OH yes it is, you little phone thing said it was"
A differant security guy says "its done and in a door, go wait for them to pull it out, he should be there in a minute"

So I go get it hook to it, scale it:

So I slide the tandems forward 2 holes so i can fuel

I get to the guard shack....."oh your light.....you have to go back to door 44 so they can add more"


WTF!

an hour later they put ONE 1,000lb pallet on and I was good to go.


So I cat scaled it, and headed to NC, Get there at 9:30am......"what time is your apt for?"

me: I wasnt given one, i was told 08:30am today - Midnight Tomorrow night......


him: "haha, well we unload by apt only, but since were not that busey today, back into a door, its your lucky day"

3 HOURS later i was MT.


Then i went to thomasville and grabbed a trailer to bring back to conover.

Then I get to conover hook to my load, I have 1.75 hours left on my 14. It HAS to be in TN over by MS by 9am FIRM apt


I told dispach this morning when they called me, I cant get it there by 9, i asked "is it an apt or when they open"

I get "its an apt" then i hear sh2 in the background "no its not thats when they open" then he says "oh sry thats just when they open but they want it really early"

So I said I'd get it there asap....


Well i get the paper work 9AM APT FIRM!!!!!!!!!!

AND it has sharpy attempting to cover where it says "Deliver Monday July 25, 2011 9am APT"


So now I get to be late on the 2nd load in a row, of NO fault of my own WTF lol




anyway i got as far as Marion, NC yay. I cant move until 02:30 tomorrow morning and still have 7-7.5 hours to go to get there, so i figure i'll be there beteen 930 and 10....Nothing I can do

At least its a Trailer Load, not LTL

lets see well first off i HATE TN, for 2 reasons the split speed limit and most important the 2 TIMES ZONES!


I ended up being 30 minutes EARLY!


Anyway after all that, I went through H E L L getting to Myrtle, construction all the way. And Got a SWEETish load to Greensboro, as far as i know its just like last time, drop the trailer and Bobtail away!

And I'll be too short on hours to get back to conover, and or do anything else, I'm going to have to Log Line 1 Personal Conveiance to get home , Not that its a big deal but i'd rather be on line 3 just to avoid the "why did you go from A to B on line 1?" from the DOT even though its legal AND I wont get to bring anything back to conover from Thomasville.......


If I cant get back to conover I'll be a little PO'd, i mean I COULD just deliver on Friday But why? Then i'd just be wasteing my 11 AND 14 on Friday....




Anyway off to sleep I'm otta here 2am EST 1am LOCAL! oh and here is Tupelo, MS Waiting for Forest Gump to run by

got to Greensboro, NC today without any issues and in less time then i thought, i had JUST enough hours to make it back to conover! Drove 702 miles

I called dispatch from Greensboro to make sure i didnt need to head somewhere else (happens very rarely) and he just said "go home and do a reset"


SWEET! I was out 8 whole days now i get a little break and 70 fresh hours!



I got back to the terminal, and he said he dosent need me tomorrow, so to just do a reset. Sounds good to me, i've run 600-700 miles with just a 10 hour break in between almost every day since heading backout, except for the reset last weekend lol 1300+ miles in less then 48 hours I'm exhausted lol

I keep forgeting to post this......My truck rolled over 600,000 miles 2 days ago.....I wanted to get a pic of 600,000.0 BUT i forgot and looked down and saw 600,058! D'oh!!!!!!

Well id like to post a good update today but my NEW $1200 computer just crashed! But yell at HP enough and I got a free hard drive on the way!

I met hdrenigade this morning.


And I got a freaking parking ticket! At the terminal! What is this world coming to!!!!
