they have an excellent safety and training program , ALL truckers got their start at the same place... at the beginning...including yourself ... -
Four and a half years in and can't say enough how cool everyone I've come in contact with is.

The only place you can get this type of BS is at a truck stop coffee counter, or game room.....show me some positive proof this claim is legit....and not from the article or author you posted before. This guy is nothing more than exactly what you did....he repeats things he hears at truck stops, tries to get some attention with a Web page....yet as corrupt himself as OOIDA....talk, talk, talk about "helping drivers".....haven't seen anything yet except what DOT and FMCSA keep changing at the request of ATA!
BTW....ATA is comprised of nothing more than company owners and executives.....see a problem there? I do! -
This reminds me of my swift mentor, a lot of the shippers and terminals we went to he would often say so and so here is a jerk, etc. Then when I would deal with them they turned out to be pretty friendly people for the most part. Not saying there aren't jerks with swift but to paint such a broad stroke signals that the op might not be letting on the whole story. Were you courteous by chance when you were dealing with these people?

Treat others how you would want them to treat you...
otherhalftw and Bigarmin88 Thank this. -
And your point is? They have been doing that for over 20 years. -
I wish I could of stayed with them. They treated me right kept me rolling. heck they paid me to drive 1200 miles empty so I could get on freight and the OK City terminal was the best.

I worked for swift when I started driving never really had a problem with them besides the crappy trk I was assigned. But I did learn kindness helps. All trk companies are generally the same, so forget respect just pray for miles....

I learned people will treat you like you treat them no matter what the industry is. Even when I delivering for Swift many times people would see the truck and have an attitude and then it would change when they saw I new what I was doing and how I acted
