I'm from Marinette, so I'm guessing they'll have you on the same account if they say it's running Wisconsin. Most of the freight runs up I-43/US-41.

Milwaukee, Green Bay, Appleton area, ect.

I have brought some loads to Beloit, so they've got some loads to get you close to home without having a big deadhead. Don't know if they really care about that since they deadheaded me home from Beloit a couple weeks ago. I'm sure there's more freight that runs up and through madison.

As for the rails, I'm usually going out of 3 rails that I regularly go to. 47th Street(just off the Dan Ryan), the one on Ogden ave in Cicero, and the rail where the terminal is off of Kedzie and 47th street.

As for the other rails I've had to go to, I've only been to the one on Western twice, 63rd street once, the CSX on 59th once, and 106th street once in my 1rst month and a half driving here.

Most of the time it's all drop and hook. You'll get a couple live-loads in during the week, but you get paid 30 bucks for that. 20 for drop and hooks. I usually make around 200 dollars a week in stop pay alone.

My experience with equipment has been pretty positive. It's easy to slide tandems on all their chassis, and the lights usually are always in good order.

U guys up there got it made. Ya'll have a rail onsite right there at the yard. I was up there a couple years ago and spoke to a few intermodal guys. One guy told me that he's averaged 60 grand a year for the past 3 yrs. 60 grand a yr? Well I dony mind if I do. U guys make more than we do up there. Our regoinal dont get paid for drops and lives..... and u guys have like 8 rails while we only have 4 but we're supposedly the 2nd largest operation at the company(ATL). I think Southgate is the biggest(LA)..... But I jope ur enjoying urself up there. Keep the rubber on the road.

No, you have to work for awhile first. At first, you usually get to pick between tuesday/wed or wed/thursday. I took wed/thur since that's payday.

After awhile you could probably pick between fri/sat or sun/mon.

I work intermodal in Harrisburg, PA and we're required to have it. I would assume Chicago would have the same expectation. If you don't have it they'll still bring you on but expect you to get it within 6 months.
