    Tractor154,
I understand your just begining with SNI, I have actually just started to look at SNI so I dont know really know all that much about them, I better get in to some of these threads. Up till now I have been considering many different companies...Swift, Averitt, Stevens, Southeastern, TMC.......not sure why but I never really considered SNI until I saw them in a GIJOBS listing as being in the top 50 companies for hiring prior military. Based on that I started looking and so far I like what I see.

congrats to all of you going to orientation! I am at orientation right now, have been since Saturday. My orientation is at the Indianapolis OC.

For those worried about the pre-work physical assessment screening, don't be. We had no one from our class sent home for that, it is pretty basic, as long as you are relatively decent shape and don't get out of breath easily from just walking, climbing stairs slowly or lifting you will be fine.

We have only had 2 sent home. One failed his drug screen, bye bye to him I say. The other voluntarily left because he was really having lots of trouble shifting, so he went to take a refresher course, and will be invited back.

If any of you have any questions, shoot away, I will do my best to answer them.

OSCBRADLEY, I have spent a lot of time researching all these different companies. I was initially offered an invitation at FFE's orientation based out of Ft Worth. I turned it down and since have heard a lot of mixed reviews. I've also been told by a lot of truck drivers I would run into around my home including my instructor from the school I went to in regards to Swift, CR England, and a few others and the bottom line is...RUN. Some may like those companies for their own reason but look at the DAC report in regards to their safety record. SNI isn't perfect, but, if you were to compare SNI's DAC to the others, I'd take SNI's anytime hands down. I've also heard that SNI prides themselves with hiring ex or current military and for that I respect them for doing so. The bottom line is that all companies whether it be trucking or some office job or whatever, there will always be good days and bad and I guess it's just all a matter of attitude. I've seen more bad reviews or complaints with other companies than I do with SNI and the issues that I've heard about SNI are things that are non-issue to me. Been through worse and it just seems the ones doing the bad talk are just a bunch of whiners. I learned a long time ago that if I was going to act like a woman, than I should be a woman. Frankly, I am quite comfortable with my current gender and don't plan on changing it so I think I'm good to go.

    Hey jakecat22,

Thanks. I think I'll do fine with the PWS. I'm not too active in sports or going to the gym, but, I like to think that I can handle my own. For the guy that voluntarily left due to his shifting issues, I hope he makes it back. For the guy that failed his drug screen, C'est la vie. He should of thought about what was more important and cleaned up his act months before signing up. I'm curious, do you know if he failed his urine or hair follicle? I submitted my hair last week and I know it takes about 4 business days for results. I have yet to hear from my recruiter for final instructions. I am not worried about passing the drug tests, I just don't want to sit around all day wondering...WHEN?

I believe he failed the hair follicle test because he was bragging to his room mate how he bought some "special" shampoo that was recommended to him that would get around the drug test LOL:biggrin_2559:

Must of been his dealer that recommended it! I took my tests the wednesday before I left and they had the results b the next monday, I think it depends on where your go. We had some that couldn't drive the first and second day cause their results were not back yet.

LOLOL. I wonder if his dealer offers a money back guarantee:biggrin_25523: I submitted my hair on 7/20 and if the nurse at the clinic is correct, today would at the very least be the 5th business or the 4th depending on whether I count the 21st as the first business day or the 22nd as the first business day.

    Jakecat22,

I'm wondering how long was your first day at orientation? I've read it lasts up to 12 hours the first day as just as long the second day.

you will need to be there by 7am, and you should be done by 5 or 6. The rest of your days will be 6:30am till 4 or 5 pm unless you need extra drive time then you will have to stay late.

That's not bad at all. How is your experience with things with orientation? Do you find some days boring and that you just can't wait to get back to the hotel or are you on the edge of your seat and eager to find out what's next on the agenda for the day?
