You're still battling that smoking dragon? Hope everyone had a good one last week. This is my first day back after 8 days of much needed vacation and it actually feels good to be back at the grind. My wife and I spent 6 days in California and it was a shock to the system when we landed Monday night in Omaha.........hello humidity! Finally got out of the house around 1100 to head up to Sioux City to load for Elizabeth. I kinda thought I was going to be able to sleep in this morning but not with my wife running the show. Up and at 'em at 0700 to mow the yard, put gas in my wife's car & hit the grocery store. Blah!

Well hawk, maybe they are going to give me your truck :-0

Welcome back Husker. I just did that run last week. It feels like you're on a manned mission to the center of the sun; driving through no where through Ohio and most of PA, until you start coming into the water gap.

wouldn't let them do that to you boss.... i think its something with the turbo, all day long if the truck is running you can smell that raw fuel, someone mention to me it could be the turbo wastegate valve???? sounds like i got all the symptoms, i'll inform cory either tomorrow or friday that truck enterprises need to take another look...

Well if you get back in a Peterbilt, don't take mine. There still hasn't been any resolution to the intermittent loss of boost pressure/power and surging.

Is that why I had to repeat myself 3 times? :biggrin_2559: (note to self: save good news for the end of the conversation) I do believe it's new-new.

Good stories... My favorite excuse for not being able to go to work has got to be 'a crockpot fell on my head' or 'the vacuum sucked up the living room drapes'. I didn't stop laughing in time to get the details.

outside of the driver side fairing being slightly pushed back i would've love to drive the S.O.B until the wheels feel off.....#### 500K trade in rule!!! it did me right outside of failing to crank that one morning in the minnesota -3 degree chil but yeah my truck now has no power what so ever, its even struggling to climb hills empty now by its standards, and here i am bout to pick up a 40K load of eggs and going back over the rugged hills of NY, NJ, and PA.... yeah wish me luck and pray for the ones behind me...

Hell I was in and out of Elizabeth in less than an hour, that's the main reason I don't really mind going out there. Unlucky for me though all of the freight was covered on Thursday so I had to bounce down to Chambersburg, PA to load Friday and be in Shelbyville, IN this morning. Guess I have to be in Goddard Monday morning so atleast I don't have to run my keister off all weekend. I heard something in passing on the radio about a bunch of road closures in St. Louis this weekend but I didn't catch any of the datails. Have any of you guys been through there to see if they had anything on the reader boards?

Can't help you with the road conditions. I agree with you though about Elizabeth and a handful of others. Getting used to Jersey and not minding it too much. The NJTP is the worst part of the experience IMHO.

At the risk of Larry and Hawk no longer talking to me, I have to say although no one makes a perfect truck, overall I LOVE my new-new KW (812)! Already averaging 1 full MPG better, 100% loaded, from New Ulm to New Stanton! Tomorrow RDC and Warners...
