They don't get anymore t600s or do they? A 386 might get about the same mpg,and are pretty reliable as far as no major issues (likeProstar). Well, I guess we'll see what happens with recruiting before worrying to much about trucks. Take care and be safe.

I've been looking at so many different lease purchase deals. JCT IMO is one of the better ones.

Now I know most say, save up. Down payment and but s $20,000 tractor, and have a beginning savings maintaince account around atleast $10,000 or so.

And that's a good plan. A $600 or $800 a month truck payment is much better than $580 weekly payment. ON THE SURFACE!!!

Through some bad luck, you have 580 credit score. You can't get financed.

But here's where I see the Lease purchase being good. On JCTs deal. It's not debt. You can walk away at anytime. You are basically a glorified company driver with some perks.

One perk is keeping your tractor, second perk is non-forced dispatch. If you can afford it, you take off when ever and for how long you like. I know the reality says different. Third perk is after all expenses, fuel, insurance, taxes, small fees, and truck payer you can still NET more than a company driver on average.

Now imagine getting 2011 tractor as a company driver. You keep that same truck for 4 years. Then one day Mr JCT offers you that company truck for $1. You would take it in a heart beat!

Plus on those last 4 years, you've gotten to everything bout that tractor. Like a 4 year test-drive. You know the history of the truck.

It's not a bad deal. As long as you can get the miles. And it sounds like miles are easy to get for you JCT guys.

So basically if this lease was truly a debt, I would have a problem with the lease. Buts it's not. If it's now working out, you can turn the tractor in, and not be responsable for the remainder of the loan.

Again, if you buy a $120,000 tractor and have a $2100 monthly payment. So now say you have to get out, you have to sell truck, probably have to take out another loan to cover the negative equity.

JCT takes that stress away. So if you got the cash and credit, I say buy $25,000 truck. But if you don't, then go get a lease deal like JCTs deal. You've got nothing to lose. Either way, your going to driving truck.

Plus the fact that , after 90 days, JCT reports to the credit bureau, and it builds your credit

Didn't know that. Now does your credit take a hit if you turn in the truck?
