IO think the rate is $28.00 and OT after 8/day or 40/weekly Plus Living allowance of $125.00 a day and all trucks have sleepers so you don't have to get rooms.
Pioneer needs drivers.

do they hire US drivers?
American Trucker -
No. That would be illegal.
-
how so, the other ice road companies hire US drivers? SNI hires canadian drivers....lol
American Trucker -
Crossing International border is why SNI heires Canadians. But a Canadian cannot load in the uS and deliver the same load within the USA. The same applies to an American driver in Canada.American-Trucker Thanks this.

Someone should POINT that fact out to a few AMERICAN outfits .
Few seem to think they get 1 RELOCATE within Canada by which they can move FREIGHT. -
I have looked over the cartage laws for Canada, and nothing says that they can't. I'm still waiting on someone....ANYONE...to provide me with a link saying otherwise. -
The Canadian and American systems pretty much work the same way.
There is no law that says it's illegal for the truck or equipment to do a point to point run in the foreign country.
But there is a law that says a driver cannot do point to point runs in the foreign country
Customs handles the carrier part of the cabotage (interstate) regulations
Immigration (INS) handles the driver part of the regulations.

An American or Mexican truck driver may load goods in the United States or Mexico, then deliver partial loads at several locations in Canada. An American or Mexican driver may also pick-up goods in Canada at one or more locations and take them to the United States or Mexico. The American or Mexican driver may combine any or all of these pick-ups and deliveries in one trip as long as the goods picked up in Canada have a final destination in the United States or Mexico and are not delivered to another Canadian location. Cabotage, which is pick-up and delivery of the same goods between one location in Canada and another, is not allowed.Last edited: Jul 30, 2011
otherhalftw and lostNfound Thank this. -
has nothing to do with cartage laws, its all to do with immigration

As long as you have a work permit you can do it. You haven't been reading the correct laws, you know, the ones that pertain to cabotage.
