At the risk of sounding too, too new, I have to ask:

    1. What exactly is the mission of the FMCSA?
    2. Who or what influences the decisions of teh FMCSA.
    3. How can one keep following the issues, and decisions that are being discussed by the FMCSA? :smt017

In short, the FMCSA is the agency of the US government that gives us the rules we have to follow to operate commercial motor vehicles. These rules are apparently changed by outside groups challenging the FMCSA in court.

According to their own statistics, there are less fatigue related crashes and fatalities now than at any time since such statistics have been kept. I'm sure there are other statistics that we don't see that would refute this argument.

The big thing is that one tragic accident that makes a number of once living people into statistics is all anyone will pay attention to.
