1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Someone please take my job!

Really!.....I want to move on to a different position within the company but they need to replace me before they'll let me go.
It's a regional dedicated out of Ridgefield,WA just 20 miles out of Portland,Oregon.
Home every weekend for a 34hr restart and usually more like 48 hrs.
Here's your chance to get off the long haul road and home more often and or move to the beautiful Pacific NW.
The catch is it's a tough job,you throw freight a few times a week using rollers and some of the stores (Dollar Tree) can be tricky to get into but the trade off is good hometime and working exclusively here in the PAC NW.
It's 3 months minimum experience for the job.
I have a chance to move to intermodal and be home daily, been doing this gig 6 months and no real complaints but I'd like to make the move to a daycab daily home deal.
Here's a link if anyone is interested and no I'm not a recruiter,I really am a driver looking to change jobs but stay with SNI.

Anyone feel free to PM me for more info and maybe a phone chat.
    Regards.....Dean

Just curious, why do you have to find a replacement? Won't they just let you change jobs? Schneider is a big company and should be able to fill your shoes before they find a permanent replacement. I'd ask again and be a little more forceful. By the time you do their job and recruit someone they will say, Sorry, the local job is filled and we have your replacement here so its back to OTR for you cause thats our only opening now. Put their back to the wall first, sometime playing this truckin game is like playing poker. Now get goin and don't wait, the squeaky wheel gets the grease if ya know what I mean. Good Luck

Well they are short handed at the DT account and have trouble hiring drivers because of the hand unloading thing.
I was told by the hire person at intermodal that I had to get the OK to even talk with her from my super at DT,I did so and then went and asked for a job.
She's ready to bring me on but can't till I'm released from the DT account.
I should know more Monday when my super's boss gets back from vacation.
She said she would try to negotiate a release for me,maybe with 4 weeks notice if need be should they not let me go right away.
It's all company ploitics and pretty much nothing I can do for now.
