I bought a Connex 4600 Turbo from a friend which was in a Pete that I was driving. The company closed so when I put the radio into my current truck which is an 05 frieghtliner it is no longer transmitting or receiving.
The only visible difference is the Pete had a whip antenna and the frieghtliner has a mirror mount. The radio is also putting out about 250 watts.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Check the coax in the new truck.

Put a brand new insulated coax. Put the bosses General Lee in and it's working fine.
Could the wiring not be heavy enough to carry the extra watts. If it's not that I guess it might br the radio it self.

If the General works ok and the Connex dont you might need to take to a shop. It still should receive and transmit. I run a Galaxy 95T2 even though I have it run to the batteries now I never had a problem using the radio terminals in the Roadway trucks

    What exactly "isn't working"?
    No power on?,no RX(or static)
No TX (nothing audible when clicking off and on the mic?)

Any chance you have some switch in the wrong place :biggrin_25513:

I got in early enough yesterday and was able to wire the power source directly to fuse panel where the battery cable comes into it.
Low and behold everything seems to be working fine. I'll know for sure when I head out Monday morning.

    Thanks for the input fellows!

Check your coax from the radio to the antennas. Many frieghtliners have a splitter box in line that allow the CB and AM/FM radio to use the CB antennas for reception. If you find one of these in line you should bypass it.
