Maybe I shouldn't poke at a new hornet's nest here, but what about rear fairings/boat tails/trailer tails?
I gather that these are newer than skirts so not many drivers have used them, but would an o/o who is not interested in side skirts (because of damage potential) be more interested in trailer tails?
(ATDynamics, com has a good video about ease of use and durability.)
So, assuming you get the equipment a significant discount:
Would you buy a boat tail but not a side skirt?
Would you buy both?
Would you buy neither?

those skirts IMHO cause more wind drag, there good for advertising i guess though, but one driver that makes a 4 wheeler upset (which is most) won't buy what is advertised..................

Taken out of context, these terms--'skirts' & 'tails'--make trucking sound downright steamy.
Just don't let your wives hear you talking about all the 'skirts' and 'tails' out there on the road.

Just went through a chip-seal with the skirts (Wedge Style) It was pretty cool to see the rocks hitting the skirts then blasting off them and shotgunning the cars next to me.
Oops, my bad.
Even with full mudflaps the skirts kicked rocks sideways into traffic. -
That was me, and I was not speaking of you. I mentioned Commie-fornia (California) as being the only place that requires you to run them. I refuse to go there as their rules and regs make absolutely no sense and do nothing but hurt our economy and independant drivers.flood Thanks this.

Any progress on the side-skirt advertising model?
I am hoping to develop a side-skirt that might be more suitable to advertising than other current models. I would be interested in discussing this matter with you further.

Jamie
